Are you sure you know what CHATNET'S SERVER REQUIREMENTS are, and that your server meets these requirements?

NOTE:
Any item that is preceded with an asterisk (* ) is mandatory. You must also speak fluent English, because it is the primary language of the ChatNet Internet Relay Chat Network.
IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR A LINK, YOU OR YOUR CO-ADMIN MUST HAVE PHYSICAL ACCESS TO THE SERVER! IF YOU AS ADMIN DO NOT HAVE PHYSICAL ACCESS, YOU MUST HAVE ROOT ACCESS, AND THERE MUST BE A PHONE NUMBER LISTED FOR US TO CONTACT SOME ONE WITH PHYSICAL ACCESS. THIS IS NOT NEGOTIATABLE.

The last question on this application will ask for any information you feel is relavent that you do not have included in the application regarding your staff, server, connection, etc. In this section, we are not looking for the reason you are linking here, that should be included in the section specified for that. As of late we have been bombarded with applications. While reviewing your application, if we feel there is information missing from the application, we will not be asking for more information via email. You will receive an application rejection statement with a reason explaining why we have rejected the application. When you receive this email, you are free to apply again. When you do so your application will be moved to the bottom of the queue just as if it were a new application. The CRC is just trying to make it clear, that we are through with guess work and incomplete applications. Finally, after spending the last 4 years dealing with ` applications, this amendment to the Routing Application Methodology has been reinstated.

ChatNet is not looking for servers who are looking for a quick link. There are going to be times (ESPECIALLY NEAR HOLIDAYS) that the CRC is not going to be able to stay ahead of applications. If this happens, the CRC will catch up as soon as possible. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY AND THEN HARRASS THE CHATNET STAFF REGARDING YOUR APP. Any questions you have regarding your application should be sent to routing@chatnet.org. Uninvited online inquires will be ignored.
