The AMERICAS SERVER REQUIREMENTS

ChatNet routing Committee(CRC) has divided the Americas into 21 regions. Each region has a specifically defined set of requirements. As with each regionalization of the ChatNet network, this area has its own hub structure to lower the burden on international and transnational communication lines. The following list explains what each region represents. The list below is the key for the table at the bottom. the table below is listed in order from the North of North America to Tiera Del Fuego, at the southern tip of South America. Find the region where your server is located, and check the table to see what locations and what ChatNet requires for linking. Please note, that these designations are not country specific. For example, Alaska is included with the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.

North East America: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Quebec, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and the Grand Banks.
North Central America: Ontario Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta
North Western America: British Columbia, Northwest Territories and Alaska
Hudson River Valley: Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Rhode Island
Chesapeak: Maryland, Delaware, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina
Ohio Valley: Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin
Northern Plains: Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming
Columbia Valley: Northern California, Oregon, Idaho, Washington
Dixie: South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida
Mississippi Valley: Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas
Four Corners: Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Southern California, Nevada and Baja California
Northern Caribbean: Cuba, The Greater Antilles, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Puerto Rico and Eastern MX
Central Mexico: Mexico excluding the Yucatan Penninsula
Central America: Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia
South Caribbean: Eastern Caribbean Islands, Lesser Antilles, Grenedines, Trinidad, Venezuela
South Eastern America: Brazil, Suriname, Guyana, French Guyana
South Western America: Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia
South America: Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uraguay

As with any other primary region, ChatNet does not link DSL or cable connections. This stipulation includes corporate versions of these connections. If your server does not meet the designated standards of this page, your application will be rejected stating such. If you apply for a region that is not currently linking servers, your application will be discarded with out reply.
