![]() Welcome to ChatNet's Channel Service web site. Here you will find
Channel Services is always looking for new members to assist the
team. The first step to joining the Channel Services Team is something
we refer to as Boot Camp. The current session of Boot Camp stopped
taking applications on Dec. 24, 1998. There will not be another
offered until June 1999. There are several rules to Boot Camp.
If you are not 100% comfortable with the use of K9 as a Channel
Master, you will not make it through Boot Camp. This is not a
place for you to come and learn about K9. It is for those of you
who already have a very solid foundation in the use of K9 and
the ability to use K9's commands to alleviate any situation that
may be presented to you. Boot Camp members will attend classes
for 4 weeks. After the second class, you will be presented a test
every week. If you score below the Channel Services set limit
on any test, you will be removed from the Boot Camp. We will not
accept an application from you for 6 months, and will not be eligible
for 12 months to enter another Boot Camp. If you pass every test
and attend every class, you still need to complete both a written
and oral final. Only after the final exams will a judgement be
passed as to your membership. NOTE: If you have been promoted to IRC operator with in the last 12 months, you are not eligible to join Channel Services. If you receive global access to K9, you are not eligible for an O:Line for the same 12-month period. If you are still interested in joining The Chatnet Channel Services Team, CLICK HERE.
