You have reached the ChatNet Routing Committee home page. This site is the
site that you need to join for information on regard to linking a server
to the ChatNet IRC network. We try to maintain a graphical representation of
the ChatNet network as well as the server linking applications here. It is the
Routing Committee's job to maintain a stable and swift IRC network. To
accomplish this end, we have created a plan of growth for the ChatNet IRC network.
Some recent changes to the ChatNet staff as well as the general lack of direction
this network has been facing for quite some time, has forced changes with in the
Coder Com and Routing Com staff. Effectively immediately the Coding Committee and
the Routing Committee are merging into a single committee defined as ChatNet
Development and Support. The CRC is currently redefining the Routing Committee to take a more active roll in the development
and direction of ChatNet as a whole.
The ChatNet Development and Support staff will be made up of members of the ChatNet
staff who have shown interest and a willingness to not only work with in the realm
of Routing, but also put time into the development and progression of the ChatNet IRCU.
In the past, the direction of the core daemon development was handled on a need to
know basis or not at all. This website will be carrying not only the information
regarding the ChatNet routing information, but the development and changes that
will apply to the IRCU as well as who has taken ownership of said development.
Due to
these changes, the Routing Website will be changing
dramatically over the next few weeks. For more information
