GUARDM
GUARDM: (/msg) K9 guardm (#channelname) <+/-modes>
Wherein: +/- modes are the channel modes, sntlkmi
s = keep channel off the channel list, secret
m = keep channel moderated, only ops and people with +v can talk
n = no external messages allowed in channel
t = only ops may change the topic
L = channel lock, maintains a maximum amount of users allowed in channel
k = channel key, you may only join the channel if you use the correct key once
this is set
I = channel invite mode, only those invited can join the channel
p = private mode, noone can see the channel
Examples: /msg k9 guardm +psmtinkl
K9 will change back any changed mode unless changed via K9, just like guardt
k9 guardm +nt
K9 will change back the mode anytime N or T are changed. Thus if a user takes
+T off K9 will put it back. The only way to change either N or T is with a K9
Mode command.
K9 guardm - psmtinkl
K9 will remove all guarded modes and any op can change them without using K9
NOTE: GuardM is your BEST defense against channel takeovers. If you have all
modes protected by K9, then any takeover attempt will be foiled because the
user can no longer change the modes.
Purpose: To allow only those with access to K9's Mode command to change set
modes
