Resolution 12 - Vote To Have ALL IRCop's On The Oper Email List passed by cadmin As IRCop's on this network we are here to help. Some of us help in many different ways and were not here to determine if they are correct or not, but in the pursuit of helping people we need to be informed as to what's going on with the administrative membership of this network. As such, the best way we've found to do that is via email, we have several different lists for our team on Chatnet and a few of them are "opers@lists.chatnet.org " " cadmin@lists.chatnet.org " " oper-com@lists.chatnet.org " " cservice@chatnet.org " Now, what we're proposing is that ALL IRCop's be on the opers list so that they can be better informed as to what is going on with this network when announcements are made and information is handed out to them. If you want to be a part of this networks administrative team, then at least put forth the small effort to be on the email list. There isn't a reason a person can come up with to not be on the list, but let me address the one I hear all to often, and that is that there's soooo much email that goes to that list and it just takes to much time to go through it all. I call this complete crap...for the last 6 months or so there's not been enough email to fill a cookie jar let along the mass amounts people feel they will get if they indeed join the list. So with that said, Oper-Com is making this an official vote so we might get better participation from our oper's on this network by making them be a part of it like the rest of us are. You want be an IRCop on Chatnet, then act like you care and get on the email lists so you can stay better informed and also give your opinions on ideas that may or may not pass over the list! |
