Policy on ChatWorld

ChatWorld should only be used in the following situations:
1. A channel has lost channel ops and channel users have requested that you op someone. Even with this in mind, all users must agree on one person to op, and for that person to be in charge of handing out ops to others.
2. A channel has been completely locked with modes +stmil 1 or something similiar to that. If you notice a channel like this, and channel regulers complain, you can clear the modes using ChatWorld.
3. Masskill clone bots, after the owner refuses to take them offline.
4. Global K-line a specified user@host who is known to run clone bots, and who has not responded to the masskills.
5. To "kill" a channel that violates the Channel Naming Policy.
6. Send out a broadcasted message to all servers. This method removes the possibility of leaving a server out, or being flooded with replies.
7. Use with your discretion. If you have a good reason to use ChatWorld, then use it. But if you have to question your reason, then I recommend you refer back to these rules or just don't use it.

ChatWorld should not be used in any of the following situations:
1. Carrying out personal vendettas with another oper.
2. When there are channel ops on the channel already. ChatWorld will not be used to get involved in channel politics. For no reason will it be used to deny a particular set of individuals ops on the channel and grant the same to another group -- irrespective of who is the regular on the channel.
3. It will not be used to deop idle bots on a channel, just for the reason that someone else can't get ops.
4. It will not be used to clear channels that you disapprove of. ChatNet is NOT to censor content.
5. ChatWorld shall not be used in a punitive manner to shut down a channel by any means for reasons not specifically covered elsewhere. (i.e. Cservice or Channel Naming policy closures.) If a channel user is inviting or causing channel related problems outside of that channel on the net, the channel may be closed, only after the following conditions are met.
* The user must be spoken to.
* The user must be killed as a warning
* The user must be glined. If the user then evades the gline, the channel can be closed as an absolute last measure.

NOTE: ChatWorld is NOT to be used in any registered channels under any circumstances, unless K9 is not online. Also remember the common sense policy, and that no rules are set in stone, but should be followed.
