Why ChatNet, not another "random chat" site
No webcam, ever
This is text chat, the way the internet used to work. There's no camera, no video, nobody can ever see you — just typing and talking.
Running since 1996
ChatNet is a real IRC network, not a random-pairing site. Same room, same regulars, real community — not a one-off stranger who disconnects in ten seconds.
Rules, in short
- Be kind. This is a place to have a good time: no insults, threats, or harassment.
- No spam, no flooding. Don't repeat messages or paste ads.
- Protect your privacy. Don't share personal info, phone numbers, addresses, or passwords in chat.
- No illegal content. Including links to it.
- Operators decide. Anyone disruptive can be removed from the room or the network.
To prevent abuse, operators can see the IP address of people connecting from the web. Full rules and privacy info: ChatNet Rules & Privacy.
