You have reached the ChatNet Development and Routing Committee division of Routing's home page. From this site, new servers are linked as well as server schema for the ChatNet IRC network are laid out. We are in the process of finalizing the conversion of the ChatNet IRCD to CN-BHT6.0 and the relinking of the long missing Channel Service, K9. As development continues, the routing committee has restructured itself to fit more idiosyncratically with the development committee. To this end, the IRCD is being driven to support the IT infrastructure of ChatNet. This means that we are always reviewing ways to support our current server base as well as any new acquisitions.

To make this division more responsive, we are in the process of adding resources to the committee to represent a dedicated division for ChatNet Routing and a dedicated division for ChatNet Development. The two initially are inter-twined, however, this is not a permanent solution. In the process of IRCD development, Routing has been severely compromised. This is unacceptable. For years, the only division on ChatNet that has proven its consistent responsiveness is the Routing Committee. The recent changes in direction for the CD&R has caused the routing committee to compromise its responsiveness. Basically, Routing has bitten off more than it can chew, and some of its members did not rise to the occasion. For this reason we are in the process of this restructure.

Because of the amount of work that is being handled by the Development and Routing Committee, we will be making additions to the Routing Staff before the end of the calendar year. If you are ChatNet Staff and are interested, please send an email to the routing committee and explain why you think you would be a good addition. Please remember, we have a lot on our plate and are not going to be very tolerant of questions regarding your application to the Routing Committee. If you feel you need to ask, do your self a favor, and do not. If any member of the committee says no, your chances are basically gone.
